Laying parquet on tiles is possible

Laying parquet on tiles is possible

Changing floor coverings without having to remove the old one, this avoids heavy work, especially when the old covering is tiled. Know that this is quite possible, it suffices for this laminate floor in floating pose.

First step: apply an underlay

You must first ask an underlay, it's a kind of polystyrene , which comes in the form of a roll or square. This underlay will ensure optimal laying of parquet. In order to improve resistance and efficiency, prefer the underlay with "vapor barrier" which provides better resistance. Allow € 1 incl. Tax per m2 for a standard underlay at € 4 / € 5 incl. Tax with vapor barrier.

Second step: the choice of laminate flooring in floating installation

We strongly recommend to ask laminate flooring rather than a floating laminate floor, more expensive and not easy to make yourself. Laminate flooring is the practical, simple and very resistant solution. It is slats or squares that clip each other. For a good laminate floor, you have to start on 8mm thick and count between 10 € TTC and 40 € TTC per m2 depending on the models chosen for the wood effect. Real wood is, of course, more expensive. You will have to count between 40 € TTC and 80 € TTC per m2. Today there are planks with an average of 15cm / 20cm wide and 1.50m / 2m long. Tiles and squares resuming the "shape" tiling are currently very trendy. Finally compulsory step with the floating parquet, whatever it is, you will have to ask expansion joints and plinths all around the room to let the floor sit quietly. The floating floor is a "moving" floor.
