A salt shaker and a corkscrew signed Alessi

Alessi's Fall Winter 2008 collection, presented at the last Maison et Objet fair, continues to surprise us with everyday objects transformed with gaiety, playfulness and colors. A quick overview of some of these achievements… SALT AND PEPPER "Forest Gump" first of all is an amazing service for salt and pepper sold for 35 €. The two shrubs serve as salt and pepper shakers and the friendly little toothpick holder boar. The whole is held by a magnet which prevents their movement during movement between the kitchen and the table. BOTTLE STOPPER We also discover the € 14 Spiritosona bottle stopper, originally developed for a well-known brand of vodka. Playful design object and practical utensil "Spiritosona" is a parody of the tempting devil. Here, it is a "tempting devil" who invites you to sip good wine.TIRE-BOUCHON Finally, "Alessandro M." -for Alessandro Mendini named after its creator-, the famous corkscrew of the brand has unveiled its new wardrobe: a Harlequin costume and a sky blue coat dotted with small clouds, 56 € per unit. For the purchase of the Harlequin, part of the profits will be intended for the City of Venice for the restoration of works of art. If you fall for the second model, know that the entire purchase price will be donated to the association "Amici dei Bambini", which works in orphanages in Brazil and Mongolia. WATERING CAN "Kiwi", on the other hand, is a watering can made of thermoplastic material with a stainless steel pouring spout. It was imagined by Paolo Lomazzi and Donato D'Urbino, pioneers of pop design in furniture from the 60s. A design accessory for the garden relatively accessible since sold for 30 €. > More info www.alessi.com
